The Irish Open 2020 will be host at Mount Juliet Estate in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny. Incredibly, this will be the fourth time the top players on the European Tour will compete for the Irish Open title at Mount Juliet. Also, this post is about the golf event, the Irish Open Golf 2020 Information, where to park at the event, where to stay and where to play golf in the Kilkenny area.
Historically, Mount Juliet has hosted a number of world championship events over the years. Such as the WGC American Express Championship in 2002 and 2004. Also, Tom Watson and Fred Couples played a challenge in 1997 for Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf. Whereas, to name the various past champions at Mount Juliet includes Tiger Woods 2002, Ernie Els 2004, Sam Torrance 1995, Bernhard Langer 1994, and Nick Faldo 1993.
Current Irish Open 2020 Daily Events
- Tuesday the 26th of May: European Tour Golf Professional Practice Rounds
- Wednesday the 27th of May: Pro-Am at Mount Juliet and doors open at 07.00 am
- Thursday the 28th of May: Tournament Round at Mount Juliet and access start from 06.30 am
- Friday to Sunday, May 29th to the 31st: The second, third and final rounds start from 06.30 am

Mount Juliet Golf Course is in my view one of the best Jack Nicklaus designed courses that I have played. Please, note that from 2005 Jack had 299 courses in play located all over the world and I just have happened to have played 12 courses designed by Jack to date.
